Brazil has 10 restaurants between the 50 best in Latin America in 2022.
This is what the ranking of the tenth edition of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants an annual list that has been running since 2013 and elects the best Latin American houses.
The best-placed restaurant in the country is São Paulo The House of the Pig by Jefferson and Janaína Rueda, which rose seven positions in relation to last year’s list and is currently in 4th place.
Next comes the Oteque led by Alberto Landgraf , which jumped 29 positions and landed this year in 12th place. The restaurant is located in Rio de Janeiro and focuses on vegetables, seafood and fish, in which the chef works with modern techniques – the house works with a tasting menu and the ingredients can change daily.
Both restaurants, by the way, were the only Brazilians to also appear on the list of the 50 best in the world, released in July this year. In the global list, A Casa do Porco appears in 7th position and Oteque appears in 47th.
