It was released this Monday (29), the The 2022 List, French ranking that elects the thousand best restaurants around the world. Altogether, ten Brazilian houses appear on the list among the most highly rated addresses, especially in São Paulo the pig’s house, establishment in the center of São Paulo crowned as the best restaurant in Brazil and Latin America.
“It is an honor to represent Brazilian country cuisine on this list alongside great colleagues from all over the world. I hope that we can have more and more Brazilians ranked among the best, in order to take our gastronomy, our knowledge and our culture to more and more people”, said chef Jefferson Rueda at the gala ceremony in Paris.

In the previous edition of La Liste, published in 2019, the restaurant was awarded as the most creative in the world.
La Liste does not list the restaurants in podium format, but the highest-scoring restaurant is French Guy Savoy, with 99.50 points out of a total of 100. The renowned house is located inside the Monnaie de Paris, the government institution that produces the French coins.
Featured Brazilians
Maní, the authorial and contemporary Brazilian cuisine restaurant by chef Helena Rizzo, appears right after A Casa do Porco, also with 93 points. DOM stands out in the ranking with 91.5 points – Alex Atala’s home in São Paulo was ranked in third place among the 100 best in all of Latin America not “Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2021: Past and Future”.
In São Paulo, the highlights are the Italian Fasano, the Brazilian and multicultural Carlota and the Japanese stars Jun Sakamoto and Ryo Gastronomia, with one and two Michelin stars respectively. Carioca establishments are also on the list, such as Oro, Oteque and Olympe.
