Caixa Econômica Federal extended to 35 years the real estate financing term of the Casa Verde e Amarela program. Previously, the maximum term was 30 years.
With the new term, Caixa estimates that the installments may have a reduction of up to 7.5%.
In addition to the expansion, CEF expanded the program’s income range for families with an income of up to R$8,000. For these families, the interest rate for people with a balance in the FGTS becomes 7.16%.
The announcement was made this Friday (1st) by the vice president of Housing at Caixa, Henriete Bernabé.
She highlighted Caixa’s role in the country’s housing sector, and, according to her, “for every 10 properties financed in Brazil, 6 are financed by Caixa”.
In August, Caixa broke the record with a R$ 600 billion real estate loan portfolio.
With the new interest rates and the extension of the term to 35 years, the payment capacity increases the financing limit from R$ 97 thousand to R$ 110 thousand. The installment that was previously R$ 810 is now R$ 710.
With the reduction of the interest rate, the subsidy for the adhesion of the own house becomes almost R$ 13 thousand.
