Is titled Case Milanesissime – Plants of 21st century living (Corraini, 120 pages, 13 euros) and shows a series of surreal (or hyperreal?) Plans of imaginary apartments offered for rent or for sale to Milano, with all the absurdities of the case, unfortunately not so absurd: it goes from the «room obtained in the cavity of the facade» to the «Milan apartment that never stops» with a continuous treadmill.
A satire, with a certain dose of bitterness, given the crazy ads that are found in the city: small sizes and increasingly demanding figures. The book is made up of a few words: on each page there is a map, with a few service lines underneath, such as «House with double view near Via Washington 770 € overlooking» such as «Two-room apartment in the Martesana area of Turro 600 € per month including nutria ».
The author, who is now famous on social networks with his name Alvar Aaltisismo, is a very young architectural designer, who has fun (and entertains) with bizarre projects, which he then presents on Instagram, where they are popular, such as his “Supermarket for one person”, or “The city of Vaccinia” or “The house balcony”. But if the tone is light-hearted, the content is always a reason for more important reflections.
The book concludes with a writing by the architect Cino Zucchi, 9 pages of very high essay.
