The Public Prosecution Service of São Paulo reported, this Thursday (15), the Accused Jeferson de Souza Jesus and Erik Benedito Veríssimo for the murder of Vitor Medrado.
The case took place in February this year at the People’s Park in Sao Paulo, when the suspects committed the murder, theft followed by death.
According to the complaint of prosecutor Cassio Roberto Conseino, the accused acted in collusion and with prior planning to commit robberies in the region . On the date of the crime, Erik, armed with a .38 caliber revolver, and Jeferson, driving a motorcycle, spotted Medrado moving on his cell phone after the attempted theft, the victim was hit in the neck and both fled the scene.
Vitor Medrado was rescued, but died in the hospital as a result of the injury.
Security cameras images and the location of the stolen cell phone were crucial for the police to identify the escape route, which pointed to the community of Paraisópolis, in the south of São Paulo, as a place of residence of the robbers.

The woman pointed out as a financier of the robbery that resulted in the murder of cyclist Vitor Felisberto Medrado in the People’s Park, in the west of São Paulo, was arrested five days after the crime.
Suedna Barbosa Carneiro, 41, known as “Mainha do Crime”, was arrested in Paraisópolis, in the south of São Paulo. According to the investigation, she facilitated criminal actions by financing robberies in different parts of the city.
The Civil Police say the woman is the leader of the gang. She is responsible for financing several thefts, including Vitor Felisberto Medrado’s murder.
