Sean’s ex-girlfriend “Diddy” Combs, 55, Casandra Ventura, 38, testified on Wednesday (14) that the hip-hop typot raped it in 2018 after the end of his relationship over a decade.
The R&B singer known as Cassie also said that Combs agreed with a $ 20 million agreement to terminate her November 2023 civil action against the relationship, with the agreement taking place 24 hours after she entered the case.
The revelations occurred on the third day of the Combs criminal trial, where the 55 -year -old rapper declared himself innocent of five criminal accusations of conspiracy of extortion, sexual trafficking and transport for prostitution purposes.
If convicted of all the charges, Combs would face a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and could take life imprisonment.
Ventura, 38, fought tears as he described Combs allegedly raping her in his living room. “I just remember crying and say no, but it was very fast,” she said as her voice failed.
Ventura said he processed Combs nine months after undergoing rehabilitation and trauma therapy caused by “horrible flashbacks”, and that she “didn’t want to be alive” when she sought help.
Asked why he decided to witness against Combs, Ventura said he could no longer support his emotional burden of years of physical and emotional abuse.
“I can no longer carry this,” said Ventura. “I can’t carry the shame, the guilt, the way he treated people as if they were disposable. What is right is right, what is wrong is wrong. I came here to do the right thing.”
Comb lawyers will begin their Ventura counter-interrogation on Thursday (15), and can last two days.
The lawyers signaled that they will ask Cassie about what they called their own history of domestic violence.
Comb trial can last up to two months.
“Freak Offs”
She is the main witness to the prosecution against Combs and wore a tall collar dress and dark jacket on her second day of testimony.
Combs wore a cream -colored sweater and a white collar shirt, with his mother and at least two children watching.
Ventura testified that Combs beat her during sex parties driven to drugs known as “Freak Offs”, and that he threatened to spread videos from her and warned her that she would ruin her career.
“He clung me, pushed me down, hit me on the side of his head, kicked me,” said Ventura.
Ventura said Combs was indifferent after she showed her a picture of a cut in her eyebrow which she said, he caused her in 2013 to throw her against the structure of a bed.
“You. No. You know. When. Stop,” Ventura said that Combs told you. “You crossed the boundary and keep going. Sad.”
Prosecutors showed the judges seven Ventura static photos and several escorts that were taken from “Freak Off” videos.
One juror swallowed hard when he saw an image, and another shook his head back.
The photos were not shown to viewers or the press. The US district judge Arun Subramanian, which supervises the trial, denied Reuters and other media limited access to photos and videos.
“No one should do that”
The jurors saw photos that Ventura’s mother took her, where she had bruises on her back and leg for being kicked by Combs.
Ventura told the jurors to retaliate the Combs sometimes slowly, but usually worsened the abuse.
“This would only make him more violent, make him stronger, make him want to press me more,” said Ventura.
“He said that would ruin everything from what I worked, that it would make me look like a bitch. That I would be embarrassed,” added Ventura. “No one should do this to anyone.”
Ventura acknowledged that he herself started physical violence against Combs, but said she saw no injuries to him.
She said she was strongly dependent on opioids during her relationship with Combs.
At the time they ended, she said she experienced episodes of posttraumatic stress disorder, sleepwalking and blackouts.
Ventura said she stopped using drugs in 2022. She is pregnant with her third child.
Combs is stuck in Brooklyn when not in court.
Also known during his career as Puff Daddy and P. Diddy, Combs founded Bad Boy Records and is credited with helping artists such as Mary J. Blying, Faith Evans, Notorious Big and Usher into star in the 1990s and 2000s.
Combs also faces dozens of civil actions of women and men who accuse him of sexual abuse. He denied the irregularities and said his relationships were consensual.
