Cassie’s husband’s statement is read on Diddy’s trial; Check

Doug Wigdor the singer’s lawyer Cassie Ventura 38, read a statement on behalf of her husband, Alex Fine after his wife finished testifying at the rapper’s trial Sean “Diddy” Combs .

“In the last five days, the world has witnessed my wife’s strength and courage, freeing itself from his past. There has been online speculation about how, for me, to sit there and hear my wife’s testimony,” he began in his account.

Following, the personal trainer and actor detailed what he felt over the four days of Cassie’s testimony, who has experienced a relationship with the music industry’s tycoon for over a decade.

“I felt so many things sitting there. I felt a tremendous pride and overwhelming love for Cass. I felt a deep anger that she was subjected to sit before a person who tried to destroy her. So for him and all those who helped him along the way, please know it: You have not destroyed her spirit or her smile.”

Throughout her message, Fine also described that the singer made him become a better man. “I did not save Cassie, as some said. To say this is an insult to the painful years of work that my wife did to save herself. Cassie saved Cassie. She alone broke free from abuse, coercion, violence and threats. She did the job of fighting the demons that only one demon could have done with her.”

“All I did was love her as she loved me. Your life is now surrounded by love, laughs and our family. This horrible chapter is behind forever, and we will no longer make statements. We thank all the love and support we received and ask them to respect our privacy while we welcome our son in a world that is now safer because of their mother,” he concludes.

Cassie married personal trainer and actor Alex Fine in 2019 after meeting at a gym, according to an interview with Vogue. “I knew Alex was drawing a ring, but honestly I didn’t expect a super elaborate proposal because we had already set the wedding date, but he planned such a beautiful experience for me,” she said. “I was so surprised!”

The couple is now the father of two small daughters, Frankie and Sunny, and in February announced that a new member was joining the family.

Combs stated innocent of five accusations, including an accusation of extortion conspiracy, two accusations of sex trafficking, and two shipping charges for prostitution purposes. If convicted, he may face the life of life imprisonment.
