Castle Island Ventures Launches DeFi & Stablecoin Investment Fund

Castle Island Ventures is launching a new $ 50 million fund to invest in DeFi and stablecoin projects.

This is the second fund launched by Castle Island, however, when creating the first fund, investments in companies involved in the development of bitcoin infrastructure were chosen as a priority.

“I have learned to be quite free in my views on investments. We have certainly broadened our views on what to invest in. I expected more regulatory certainty, but that didn’t happen, ”said firm partner Nic Carter.

Carter teamed up with former Fidelity Investments employee Matt Walsh to launch Castle Island Ventures in 2018.

The firm plans to distribute the fund’s funds among about twenty companies, although there have been no investments to date. However, Carter stressed that representatives of family companies and wealthy individuals showed interest in the fund.

Earlier, Nick Carter said that he recently did not care much about the fluctuations in the bitcoin rate, since after March 2018 it is very difficult to impress him.
