One of the users of the social network Twitter shared an interesting story – he had a Bitcoin network node working for a long time, but at some point the cat turned off the device.
According to the user under the pseudonym Bodl_hodler, he launched a Bitcoin network node in early 2021 using a Raspberry Pi single-board computer. After connecting, the device was available and successfully participated in the confirmation of transactions.
At the end of May 2022, Bodl_hodler decided to test the operation of the device after the bitcoin rate dropped to $30,000. However, as it turned out, the node was not functioning. After the user took out the device from behind the sofa, it turned out that his cat vomited on the case, which led to the shutdown.
“For the first time in quite a long period of time, I decided to go to my node of the Bitcoin network, but I could not connect. I took it out from behind the couch and realized that the device was covered in dried cat vomit,” wrote Bodl_hodler.
The user joked that it was a “cat protest” and suggested that the cat mistook the Bitcoin network node for a “dog shitcoin” node and couldn’t keep lunch in itself. After cleaning the device, it returned to work and successfully connected to the network of the first cryptocurrency.
Recall that recently the hashrate of the Bitcoin network decreased by 27% due to the shutdown of miners in Texas.
