Caution: Trojans and adware spread under the guise of Windows 11

Microsoft introduced Windows 11 a month ago on July 24th. Those who wish can already get access to it and take part in testing. However, for ordinary users on a large scale, the new OS will become available towards the end of 2021.

The cybercriminals did not fail to take advantage of the excitement around Windows 11. According to experts, although Microsoft itself provides an easy way to download and install Windows 11 from the official website, many users still try to download the new OS from third-party sources.

By downloading Windows 11 not from the official Microsoft website, users run the risk of getting various Trojans, including stealing passwords, software with aggressive ads, and other unpleasant surprises.

It is noted that Kaspersky products have already detected and prevented more than several hundred attempts to infect through similar schemes related to Windows 11. A large part of the malware detected are downloaders whose task is to download and run other programs on the victim’s computer.
