Experts of the CBONDS financial market provider said that in June, 159 issuers were present in the Russian market of digital financial assets (CFA). 108 of them did not have a credit rating, which creates the risks of fraud and defaults.

Cbonds explained that current rules allow companies to place digital financial assets without the need to receive a rating. The assessment of the creditworthiness of issuers remains with the operator of the information system (OIS), which posts the CFA. However, the lack of a credit rating creates a situation of uncertainty in the market.

“The lack of a rating means that there is no independent assessment of the issuer’s solvency. Investors are forced to rely only on the information disclosed by the issuer or the OIS, which can be incomplete or embellished. ” – reported in CBONDS.

Experts recalled that the first of the defaults in the Central Department Store was just in June, when the Novosibirsk network of car dealerships Avtosity reported the inability to fulfill its obligations for 200 million rubles. The issuer explained this with a high key rate and a decline in the market of used cars.

Nevertheless, despite the absence of a credit rating, the Central Department of Construction Market for the first half of the year exceeded the volume of last year – 405.8 billion against 383.6 billion. But the total volume of the digital financial assets market in circulation decreased to 180 billion rubles, experts pointed out.

Among the total volume of the TsFA in June, releases with a period of circulation of less than one week prevailed, 97 billion rubles were sent to them, and Alfa-Bank spoke the main issuer. He registered over 25 issues with a period of circulation one day, summed up in Cbonds.

Earlier, the head of the Directorate of the Central Department Store of the Russian VTB Bank Sergey Ryabov said that the institution will provide customers with access to digital financial assets, integrating the tool into the mobile application interface before the end of the year.
