CCXP23: find out how to prepare for the event

CCXP, the largest Brazilian pop culture convention, will have its 2023 edition in the city of São Paulo. The event starts this week, bringing several attractions from the film, series and streaming industries, video games, comics, among others.

Following the model of Comic-Con in San Diego, California (United States), CCXP23 will take place from next Thursday (30) until Sunday (3) at São Paulo Expo, in the south of São Paulo.

Therefore, the CNN put together the itinerary below, with tips on how to prepare and information about what participants can, or cannot, do.

Where will it take place and how to get there

CCXP23 will be held at São Paulo Expo, in the south of São Paulo. The exhibition center is located on Rodovia dos Imigrantes, km 1.5, Jabaquara.

To get to the location, the closest metro station is Jabaquara (Line 1 – Blue). By bus, the closest stop is Rodoviária Jabaquara.

Transfer

The event offers a free transfer service (round trip) from Santos-Imigrantes metro station (Line 2 – Green) until São Paulo Expo, on every CCXP day.

The interval between the departure of one transfer bus and another will depend on the movement of participants at the station and the traffic on the route to the event.

In previous years, the transfer took place from Jabaquara station (Line 1 – Blue), but this will not be repeated in 2023.

Parking?

For those traveling by car, CCXP will have on-site parking with 6,500 spaces. Parking prices are available in this link.

The parking lot also has 430 free bicycle spaces.

Days and times

• Spoiler night (29): 6pm to 9pm;
• Thursday (30): 12pm to 9pm;
• Friday (1st): 12pm to 9pm;
• Saturday (2): 11am to 9pm;
• Sunday (3): 11am to 8pm.

The event will open the day before for guests and partners, in addition to those who purchase tickets of the following types:

• Epic Experience;
• Full Experience; It is
• Unlock.

Tickets

Tickets cost from R$180, in different types. They can be purchased at CCXP23 official website.

Some days and modalities are already sold out.

Entrance with food and drinks

CCXP23 will allow entry to the event with food in original, sealed packaging.

If it is non-processed food, it must be in closed plastic packaging (plastic wrap, aluminum foil, plastic bag).

Allowed foods:

• sandwiches and cut fruit;
• water in plastic bottles or cups;
• juice boxes;
• soft drinks in bottles up to 600ml.

Are not allowed:

• “tupperware” type pots;
• squeezes;
• objects that pose a safety risk, such as glass bottles, cans and alcoholic beverages.

Prohibited objects

• Rigid packaging with a lid (example: “Tupperware” plastic containers);
• cans;
• helmets;
• firearms or bladed weapons of any type (knives, pocket knives, etc.);
• chairs and benches;
• sharp objects;
• piercing or cutting objects (scissors, box cutters, tweezers, nail clippers);
• fireworks, explosive devices, flares and incendiary devices of any kind;
• alcoholic beverages;
• poisonous and toxic substances, including illegal drugs;
• skateboard, bicycle or any type of vehicle, motorized or not;
• Styrofoam, cooler or any type of storage utensil;
• manual or electric air pump.

All people will be subject to a search at the entrance to the event.

Unpermitted objects must be discarded by the owner before accessing the event.

CCXP will not store these objects.

Anyone who refuses to dispose of an unauthorized item will not be permitted entry.

The event states that it will also not allow the entry of people who are behaving inappropriately and contrary to public order.
