Tendencies – According to a statement from Ceagesp, the blockages at the beginning of November caused a reduction in the supply of products at the São Paulo Terminal Warehouse (ETSP), in Vila Leopoldina, in São Paulo (SP), raising prices mainly for items that are more sensitive to variations sudden offers. All sectors, except Fruit, had items with an impact caused by the low stock at the beginning of the month, as well as the arrival of many customers at once (accelerated increase in demand) after the roads were unlocked, the company said.

“For some items, the normalization or cooling of prices should occur as soon as the offer stabilizes”, he informed. The rainier climate and heat can have an impact on the most sensitive crops, such as leafy vegetables and some vegetables, which are still affected by the blockages, concluded Ceagesp.
