Celine Dion postpones her European tour (again)

Celine Dion was forced to postpone the European leg of her tour once again Courage as he slowly recovers from the same health problem for which he canceled the Las Vegas shows last fall.

Despite past reassurances about her condition, the singer shared a video on Instagram on April 29 in which she gave the unpleasant news: the European dates of 2022 that were supposed to start in May will have to be rescheduled to February 2023, while some other dates have been canceled entirely. “Before we had to move the shows due to the pandemic, now it is my health problems that force us to postpone some shows, and unfortunately we also have to cancel some of them”.

But he added that the “good news” is that he is finally “a little better”. He explained: “It’s going very slowly and it’s frustrating. I’m getting medical treatment, I’m taking medications, but I’m still having some spasms, and it’s taking a lot longer to recover than I hoped for. ‘ She also wants to make sure that she is in “top shape” for her performances before resuming touring, and unfortunately “they aren’t there yet.” Dion concluded: “I wanted you to know that I’m sorry. I know all of you have waited so long for concerts, and I appreciate your loyalty … I can only say that I am doing my best to get back to the level I need to be to give 100% to my shows, because this is what you deserve ».

The singer of My Heart Will Go On she first embarked on this tour in September 2019, but had to cancel shortly after due to the coronavirus pandemic. In January 2022, two months before relaunching the show, Dion canceled the North American dates, again, for health reasons. Her team confirmed at the time that she was receiving treatment for “severe and persistent muscle spasms that prevent her from performing, and her recovery is taking longer than she hoped”. Dion added in a tweet: “I was really hoping to be ready to leave for now, but I suppose I have to be more patient and follow the treatments that the doctors are prescribing for me.”
