The Debt Negotiation and Financial Guidance Mutirão, organized by central bank (BC), ends next Tuesday (30).
It is aimed at individuals who are with debts arrears with financial institutions. The action is a partnership with the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), the National Consumer Secretariat (Senacon) and the Federal Senate.
The types of debt included in the joint effort do not involve those that have assets as collateral for loans. Before negotiating overdue debt, it is necessary to register on the consumer.gov.br platform.
Once this is done, the indebted person can choose which financial institution he wants to negotiate with, and then report the case related to the debt. The institution has up to 10 days to analyze the request, subsequently presenting a negotiation proposal to the debtor.
According to the Central Bank, people who want to know what debt they currently have with financial institutions can access the page mutirao.febraban.org.br, where it is also possible to see if it is worth participating in the joint effort and what part of your budget will be used for payments during trading.
