An unnamed popular email marketing service provider used by crypto companies has been compromised. This was announced by Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino.

CoinGecko co-founder and COO Bobby Ong also reported a possible hack to the service. According to him, malicious emails are sent on behalf of crypto firms and contain offers to distribute coins.
PSA: There is an ongoing supply chain email breach attack happening with an email newsletter vendor right now. Several crypto companies may be affected via email blasts of fake token launches. Be careful with email newsletters in the coming days.

Ong recalled that the crypto asset tracking service does not intend to launch its own token.
In January, email marketing service provider Mailer Lite was the victim of an attack that caused more than $600,000 in damage. The incident affected Cointelegraph, Wallet Connect, Token Terminal, and several DeFi projects.
