The largest decentralized protocol on the Sui Cetus Protocol blockchain was injured from hacking on May 22 – the attackers managed to display assets by $ 223 million. However, the project management is going to fully compensate for the losses of users.

For full compensation, the SUI users were launched in the community, since Cetus Protocol will need a loan from the organization of SUI Foundation. Cetus developers ask the community to approve such a loan and promise to “re -create the Sui Defi ecosystem and make it more strong and reliable.”

“We are deeply regretted about this incident and are going to use our reserves, both fiat and cryptocurrency, to completely cover the losses from the theft of funds. This will require a critical loan from SUI Foundation to compensate 100% of user loss. We sincerely apologize to our customers and the entire SUI ecosystem for the effect of this hacking, ”the developers said in a statement.

According to computer security experts from DEDAUB, the hackers took advantage of vulnerability in the system for checking the parameters of liquidity pools in the Cetus protocol.
