Ch. Megalou: Piraeus Bank expands Project Future program to High School and Lyceum students

Project Future Junior, the new corporate responsibility program of Piraeus Bank, begins, which gives young people aged 14 to 17 the opportunity to develop tomorrow’s skills, to get acquainted with the concepts and practices of modern business and to broaden their horizons accordingly. with the possibilities of choosing a professional career in modern fields of employment, in collaboration with Junior Achievement Greece.

As the CEO of Piraeus Bank, Christos Megalou, emphasizes, “we are expanding the Project Future program, which successfully connects higher education with the labor market from 2018, now addressed to High School and Lyceum students. Our goal is to familiarize them with basic concepts of economics and business, to apply them in practice and to enrich their choices regarding their future career “.

Through the website https://www.projectfuture.gr/project-future-junior, students in public schools of the country, from the 3rd Gymnasium to the 2nd Lyceum, can register for the Project Future Junior, either as team members of their school or individually, and to attend the digital program that offers educational material, specially designed for their age, in three thematic pillars: Project Management, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce.

Participants have the opportunity to attend one or even three modules, in the specially designed e-learning platform Learning Hub, following their own pace of training. If they wish, after the completion of the program, they submit, in groups, an e-commerce project for evaluation, based on an innovative business idea that emerged through the utilization of the knowledge acquired in all three fields, taking inspiration from the 17 goals UN Sustainable Development.

The educational material of the program has been created in collaboration with distinguished academics of each field and has acquired interactive features that focus on the practical application of the educational material. An important role in the program is played by the teachers and mentors, who support and give directions to the children, in order to implement the project they will choose.

Junior Achievement Greece (JA Greece) is a Non-Profit Organization, a member of the global organization of education and entrepreneurship Junior Achievement Worldwide and implements the educational programs of the organization in Greece.

The purpose of JA Greece is to support the Greek educational community in the implementation of programs that promote innovative thinking, entrepreneurship and the practical application of the basic concepts of economics, in a creative and experiential way for students.
