Chalezinho, a traditional fondue restaurant, opens its doors in Campos do Jordão

Founded in Belo Horizonte in the late 1979, the little cottage landed in São Paulo in 2001, and has become synonymous with a place to eat fondue at any time of the year.

More than two decades later, the brand expands its domains and opens its doors to Campos do Jordãothis Thursday, April 21, in the middle of a long holiday.

The unit in the highest city in Brazil, about 170 kilometers from the capital of São Paulo, will offer diners a menu with several versions of the restaurant’s flagship: fondues – always for sharing and with different side dishes.

The option Original (BRL 134)with emmenthal, gruyere, white wine and kirsch (black cherry distillate, widely used in cheese fondue recipes), and the Mild (R$ 116)featuring emmental, gruyere and steppe, are served with freshly baked Italian bread and crunchy walnuts.

Among the meat ones, the founde de Filet Mignon (R$180)prepared in wine consommé, is accompanied by garlic toast and eight traditional sauces – garlic, cheese, rosé, peppered pineapple, herbs, poivre, mushrooms and mustard.

To sweeten the palate, the classic fondue of Nest Milk with Nutella (R$109), accompanied by fresh fruit, wafer and marshmallow; and Dulce de Leche (BRL 89)accompanied by fresh churros.
