Champions League final ball to be auctioned for UN refugee agency

The ball used in the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid this Saturday (28) will be auctioned after the game, with the proceeds going to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), manufacturer Adidas announced on Tuesday (24) .

The German sportswear company said the white and silver ball will bear the inscription “peace” in English and the Cyrillic alphabet and will not be sold to the public.

Saturday’s final takes place at the Stade de France in Paris, France, after being moved earlier this year from the original host city of St. “special operation”.

Old rivals in the final

Liverpool and Real Madrid is the confrontation that most featured in the Champions League finals in history, with a victory for each side. The tiebreaker will take place this Saturday.

On the field, there will be 19 tournament titles, being 6 of the Reds and 13 of the Merengues.
