Changan introduced a new brand of smart cars: you can even control your eyes

Yesterday, August 29, the Chinese automotive giant Changan officially unveiled to the world its new subsidiary brand called Zhuge, whose cars will be built on the most advanced architecture and will be delivered to potential buyers with a whole range of various smart features. Of course, so far we are not talking about mass production of any of the models, but the company has already shown teasers of its first Zhuge CD701 concept car – it looks quite attractive both inside and out, and, most importantly, such a model may well get to the conveyor without drastic changes.

For example, the main advantage of the vehicles of the new subsidiary is the modular SDA platform, which allows you to create not only fast, but also smart enough cars. This platform makes it possible to create a convenient user interface for a multimedia system with many flexible settings, which ultimately should increase the level of comfort for the driver and passengers. The company even said that Zhuge’s upcoming vehicles will support control from a smartphone, smartwatch, voice commands and, most interestingly, eyes.

Among the smart features is advanced automatic parking – Zhuge engineers believe that their technology will allow you to park a vehicle in various scenarios no worse than even the most experienced driver. Of course, it could not do without an autopilot either, but the company is more realistic about this technology – Zhuge cars in the future will be able to automatically move along highways and highways, change lanes and speeds depending on, for example, speed limits on a particular section of the route . Only in 2024, the manufacturer plans to provide the function of autonomous driving within the city, but promising does not mean launching a release.

However, the CD701 concept also has several elements that will obviously not make it to the series. We are talking about cameras instead of rear-view mirrors, which are actively advertised by many companies, but no one sent this element to the release, plus I would like to draw attention to the lack of door handles – many modern cars have automatic door unlocking from the outside, but not a single car without There are no door handles on the market for obvious reasons. In all other respects, this is a quite stylish electric car (yes, the company itself did not specify the type of CD701, but this is clearly a car on an electric power plant) with a sloping roof, an interesting shape of headlights and brake lights, and stylish wheels.

It is likely that Zhuge will be the first to use the most advanced developments of Changan, but no one knows exactly when the first car of the company will be presented.
