The changes in the Prouni (University for All Program) determined by an interim measure published by the federal government earlier this week have rekindled concerns about the risk of an increase in inequality in access to universities in the country.
In its original version, the program provided scholarships only for students who attended high school at public institutions or who had already received full scholarships at private schools. With the new MP, a larger portion of students in the private network will have access to Prouni.
