The new composition of the administration of the Region of Central Macedonia was announced by the Regional Governor Apostolos Tzitzikostas. Local vice-governors remain Costas Kalaitzidis in Imathia, Andreas Vergidis in Kilkis, Voula Patoulidou in Thessaloniki, Iordanis Tzamtzis in Pella, Sofia Mavridou in Pieria, Panagiotis Spyropoulos in Serres and Giannis Giorgis.
Regarding the thematic counter-regions, there are no changes in those of Finance and Planning where Athena Aidona, Deputy Regional Governor, of Development and Environment where Costas Gioutikas remains, of Infrastructure and Networks where Paris Billias and Psifiki remain. where Angelos Charisteas remains.
There are changes in the counter-regions of Health and Social Solidarity where Melina Dermentzopoulou takes over, of Agricultural Economy where George Kefalas takes over, of Tourism where Alexandros Thanos takes over and of Transport and Communications where Socrates Doris takes over.
Katerina Peristeri and Dinos Kouis, respectively, remain Heads of Culture and Citizen Service, while Sotiris Batos will be Head of Innovation and Extroversion, and Benjamin Karakostanoglou will be Head of Interregional Cooperation.
The Regional Councilor Athanasios Kikis is proposed for the Presidency of the Metropolitan Committee of Thessaloniki. The Regional Councilor Nikos Tzollas is proposed for the Presidency of the Development Organization of the Region of Central Macedonia under establishment, while the Regional Councilor Pantelis Kazantzidis is proposed for the position of the Managing Director of the Cultural Center of the Region of Central Macedonia. In the coming days, the Mandated Regional Councilors and their responsibilities per Regional Unit will be announced.
