The National Investment Agency of Kyrgyzstan signed an agreement with the former general director of Binance, according to which Chanpeng Zhao will help the country in the development of the ecosystem of cryptocurrencies and blockchain.

According to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, the agency will receive such types of assistance as infrastructure and technological support, as well as consulting services. Educational programs for cryptocurrencies and blockchain are also planned.

Zhaparov noted that cooperation with the former head of the largest cryptocurrency exchange of Binance will help the economic growth, make it more competitive, and also provide new opportunities for business.

“This cooperation marks an important step towards strengthening the technological infrastructure, the introduction of innovative solutions and the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of blockchain technologies, and the management of virtual assets and cybersecurity,” Zhaparov emphasized.

Changpeng Zhao said that he provides such services to several states, both officially and not. According to the founder of Binance, it helps to create a regulatory framework for the work of cryptocurrencies, and also advises on the use of blockchain in various state departments.

Recall that in March the Government of Kyrgyzstan increased the requirements for the minimum authorized capital of cryptocurrency exchanges in the country. Now, to launch such a site, a capital of 10 billion SOM ($ 115 million) will be required.
