For the fourth consecutive day, demonstrators are violently clashed with authorities, protesting for immigrant arrest operations carried out by the Trump government in the city. The first of at least 2,000 troops of the National Guard arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, which led California Governor Gavin Newsom to call for the revocation of Trump’s command. At a late night press conference, Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonell said 27 arrests were made on Sunday and warned that clashes were “constantly worsening and becoming more violent”.
