The aircraft are stuck on USA due to a technical problem in the computers of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), as reported by international media.
The FAA said it is working to fix the problem in the Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) system, which alerts pilots to potential hazards on a flight.
About 760 flights in or out of the US have been delayed today, according to FlightAware.com, while 91 have been canceled, Sky News reports.

“Technicians are working to restore the system and there is no estimate for restoration of service at this time,” the FAA said.
