Charlène of Monaco with her husband and children for the Christmas card (but it’s just a drawing)

Charlène from Munich, 43, returns to post an image on the Instagram page and immediately all the questions about his real state of health are rekindled. After the photo of the twins Gabriella and Jacques on their seventh birthday, this time the princess posted the traditional Christmas card that royal families publish on the occasion of the holidays. But it is an image that leaves many uncertainties about the conditions of Albert of Monaco’s bride: it is not a photograph, as happened until last year, but a portrait.

In the drawing, Charlène wears a yellow dress with a long, wide skirt and puts a hand on her husband’s shoulder, in a formal blue suit. In the background, a richly decorated Christmas tree. In the foreground, in front of the royal couple, the two children: Gabriella holds a golden decoration in her hand, Jacques a silver bell. The princess published the photo accompanying it with the sentence: “With all my love, I wish you all beautiful and safe holidays”.

The diffusion of a drawing instead of the classic photograph certainly represents an original stylistic choice, which, however, does not entirely reassure Charlène’s state of health. The royals of Monaco, in fact, they were famous for portraits of past years, in which they showed themselves in all their elegance, in splendid clothes and among sparkling decorations. In comparison with the habits of the past, this year’s option seems to underline even more the difficulties in which the princess and the Monegasque family find themselves.
