Charles Hoskinson: “blockchains should ‘peacefully coexist’ with each other”

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson believes that cryptocurrency projects should interact rather than compete for the title of “best blockchain”.

This Hoskinson (Charles Hoskinson) said in
interview Business Insider shortly after the Cardano blockchain was criticized for bugs on the testnet, which did not quite successfully launch smart contracts. Ethereum proponents believe the Cardano network does not fit into the realm of decentralized finance.

However, on September 12, the Alonzo update was successfully activated on the Cardano network, allowing the creation of decentralized applications. Ethereum now has another formidable contender.

Speaking about the development of blockchains, Hoskinson said that in the coming years they will not dominate each other, but will start working on an equal footing. This applies to all blockchains, even the so-called Ethereum killers. Hoskinson compared blockchains to the rise of Wi-Fi routers. He explained that when the Internet became a part of everyday life, users stopped thinking about which manufacturer created the equipment to connect to the network.

“You don’t ask,” Is this a Samsung or Apple router? ” I hope that soon the same situation will come in the cryptocurrency industry, when Cardano, Ethereum and Bitcoin are considered equal infrastructures. Naturally, we compete with each other. After all, blockchain is made for people, companies, and even governments. This technology will soon be as common as Wi-Fi. The blockchain will run on your phone and the era of the Internet of blockchains will come, ”Hoskinson said.

Hoskinson recently announced that it is time for the cryptocurrency community to stop getting carried away with comic cryptocurrencies and collectible tokens, as this only hinders the development of the cryptocurrency industry.
