THE HBO Maxstreaming from WarnerMedia’s television channel, promises to fill the catalog with several productions in 2022, from films to reality shows and series.
This Thursday (17th), the CNN had access to the catalog of premieres that arrive on the platform in the coming months and among the highlights is the long-awaited superhero movie “The Batman”which has big names in the cast, such as Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell. The feature hits the platform on April 18, 45 days after the premiere in theaters.
The Batman has grossed over $500 million at the box office worldwide. The DC Comics film received 85% approval from critics and 88% from audiences, according to review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.
Fans of “Game of Thrones” can rejoice because the spin-off of the series, titled “House of The Dragon” also arrives on HBO Max this year. It takes place 300 years before the events of the iconic show that ended in 2019.
Another production that draws attention on the list is the biography of the king of rock, “Elvis”, starring Austin Butler and two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks in the cast. The film is scheduled to open in theaters in July and will have the same window as “The Batman”.
And there’s a Brazilian program on the list as well: “Queen Stars”, a drag queens competition reality show under the command of pop stars Pabllo Vittar and Luísa Sonza. The first season premieres this month on March 24.
The platform has content from HBO, Cartoon Network, TNT and TBS, as well as several other producers. It was launched in Brazil in May of last year and, even with little time on the air, it has already gained space in the market – Netflix shares even dropped with the launch.
