Check out what we already know about the next “Fantastic Four” film

This Wednesday (14), Marvel released the names of the actors who will give life to the main characters of “Fantastic Four”. Pedro Pascal will play Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic; Vanessa Kirby will play Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn will play Johnny Storm, the Human Torch; and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will bring Ben Grimm, the Thing, to life.

The announcement made with the theme “Valentine's Day” – Valentine's Day in the United States – also came with the film's release date in theaters: July 25, 2025.

The new feature film will be directed by Matt Shakman (“WandaVision”, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters”). The script is by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.

Until now, the Fantastic Four have not been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film rights belonged to 20th Century Fox, which produced three films featuring the characters.

Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that the Fantastic Four were the first characters created for Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

Even though it is a recent announcement, several fan theories are already circulating about the new hero film. Check out:

Will the film be set in the 1960s?

The poster released by Marvel (look above) gives some clues that the film could be set in the 60s.

The first point is that Thing would be reading a magazine, which is Life magazine, published in December 1963. On the cover it features the former President of the USA, Lyndon Baines Johnson, who took over as president after the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

Furthermore, another clue that reinforces this possibility is the portrait of Ben, even before the accident that transformed him into the Thing, which is hanging on the wall in an astronaut uniform. In pose, the photo resembles Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the Moon in 1969.

It's worth remembering that in the comics, the Fantastic Four are four astronauts who transform into superheroes after being exposed to cosmic rays in space.

Will the Beatles be on the film's soundtrack?

Another hypothesis raised by Marvel fans is that the Beatles would be present on the film's soundtrack.

This Wednesday (14), Pedro Pascal announced the film on his social networks with the song “All You Need Is Love” in the background and also used a hashtag with the name of the song, which is one of the most famous songs by the Liverpool quartet, also launched in the 60s.

Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman got married in the comics in 1965 and in one of the artworks, it is possible to see the band members in the background, participating in the ceremony.

According to Rolling Stone, Paul McCartney was invited to compose the soundtrack for the “Silver Surfer” film in the 80s. However, the project never got off the ground and the hero's only appearance on movie screens took place in 2007. , when the character was part of the film “Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer”.
