QR Asset Management’s monthly survey showed that Near, the Near Protocol’s native token, and the Luna cryptocurrency, the Terra blockchain’s governance token, were the best performing assets in December of last year.
The valuations were, respectively, 66.02% and 42.29%.
The cryptocurrencies that ended December on the rise are smart contract platforms (smart contracts), which make it possible to define all the characteristics of the cryptocurrency. The most common is that they don’t need to be mined, like bitcoin, but they already come up with a maximum amount available, which is being negotiated.

On the other hand, the Internet Computer and Elrond token had the biggest falls: assets depreciated 40.66% and 37.12%, respectively. As the largest cryptocurrencies on the market closed in decline, these assets followed the movement. Bitcoin, for example, devalued 19.6% last month.
