The Rock in Rio festival takes place between the 2nd and 11th of September and will bring a series of international artists to the Brazilian stages. The “headliners”, that is, the main attractions of each day of shows, are Iron Maiden, Post Malone, Justin Bieber, Guns N’ Roses, Green Day, Coldplay and Dua Lipa.
To take advantage of their time in Latin America, some festival participants will take their presentations beyond Rio de Janeiro, passing through cities such as São Paulo and Belo Horizonte.
Justin Bieber, long one of the most beloved artists among the young audience, passes through São Paulo on September 14, ten days after the show at Rock in Rio. He performs at Allianz Parque.
The band Coldplay, which has sold out stadiums in other places in Brazil, plays two shows in Rio de Janeiro: one inside Rock In Rio, on September 10, and another outside the festival, at Estádio Nilton Santos (Engenhão), in October 11th. In São Paulo, they play at Allianz Parque on October 15th and 16th.
The veterans of Guns N’ Roses make an extensive tour of the country with the tour “Guns N’ Roses Are F’N’Back!”, with nine performances. They perform in Recife (September 4th), Goiânia (September 11th), Belo Horizonte (September 13th), Ribeirão Preto (September 16th), Florianópolis (September 18th), Curitiba (September 21st), São Paulo (September 24th) and Porto Alegre (September 26th), in addition to Rock in Rio, on September 8th.
On social media, the public asks for confirmation of shows by other artists of the festival in different cities, such as Dua Lipa and Post Malone.
