First motherhood, now the wedding: for Chelsy Davy, ex girlfriend of Prince Harry, it is truly a magical moment. The 36-year-old entrepreneur (she founded AYA, a jewelry brand, ed) said “yes” to his companion Sam Cutmore-Scott, older brother of Jackprofession actor, seen in Tenet and in the tv series Deception. Sam, on the other hand, works in the hospitality field: the family owns a hotel chain and he is the CEO of the The Harper, which is located in Norfolk.
The news of the wedding came as a surprise and without great proclamations. According to Richard Eden of Mail Online, the couple reportedly communicated the wedding to their friends by sharing a photo of her with the wedding ring on her finger, worn under the sapphire gift from Sam for the engagement. Nothing comparable to Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding, which Chelsy attended along with another famous ex of the prince, Cressida Bonas.
At Davy, moreover, the media pressure and celebrity they never liked, they were the worst side of the story with the prince and they contributed a lot to ending it. “Chelsy told Harry that he couldn’t make the sacrifices he saw Kate make, especially he couldn’t shape his life around endless press attention,” wrote Robert Lacey, author of Battle of Brothers. According to royal watchers, she was convinced by the wedding of Kate and William in 2011: it was on that occasion that she realized how far that life was from her and from what she really wanted.
Today Chelsy is very far from any kind of limelight and very little is known about her. It is not even known how long she has been paired with Sam. The only useful indiscretion dates back to 2020, when Chelsy revealed a Tatler who was having a very serious relationship, without going into details: “There is someone and I’m pretty into it, but it’s a very new thing and I don’t want to say too much.” Things then moved on quickly. In March 2022 Chelsy became the mother of a boy, Leo, who was born at Westminster Hospital in London. Again, maximum confidentiality. Not everything, moreover, must necessarily be shared.
