Cher releases Christmas album featuring Stevie Wonder, Cyndi Lauper and more

Singer Cher released her first Christmas album this Friday (20), entitled “Christmas”, which is now available on digital platforms. The album has 13 songs and several partnerships with well-known artists in the market and from different genres.

Among them are Stevie Wonder, Michael Bublé, Cyndi Lauper, Darlene Love and Tyga. The song featuring Bublé, in fact, is “Home”, the artist’s big hit released in 2005. In this version, Cher, together with Bublé, gives voice to the song, which also has a Christmas touch.

The singer’s new album also features a cover by The Zombies, “This Will Be Our Year”, and other famous Christmas songs, such as “What Christmas Means to Me”, by Stevie Wonder, from 1967.

This is Cher’s first duet work. In an interview with “Good Morning Britain”, she says that none of her albums, to date, have had other people on them.

“I didn’t want to do Christmas songs as I’ve heard them and know them. I wanted to do it in a way that was fun for me. Something that was really good, something that was me. I wanted to make a Cher album, which was a Christmas album. I had fun doing it. It’s lively, rock’n roll, but also a little abrupt. I’m proud”, says the singer in a video published on her Instagram.
