Chery has released a hybrid transmission: for electric cars and internal combustion engines

Chinese automaker Chery has officially announced that the first production DHT transmission has been sent to production – a universal, parallel-charged hybrid. That is, cars built on the basis of this transmission can operate both from electric power plants and from the most ordinary gasoline engine. Moreover, the manufacturer said that there are simply no analogues in the automotive market now – the DHT gearbox, among other advantages, is also capable of aggregating with two electric motors (excluding the gasoline internal combustion engine). In fact, the Chinese auto industry has come out ahead.

Also, representatives of the Chinese company said that the first Chery car on the new transmission will be the Tiggo 8 Plus (Pro) PHEV crossover. Due to the new gearbox and other improvements, the car will accelerate from zero to hundred in 5 seconds, and fuel consumption in the combined cycle of use will be only one liter per 100 kilometers. The start of sales of the new crossover in China is scheduled before the end of this year, and after a short operation of the SUV at home, it should be sent to the Russian market. And at this expense, if the price is at the market level, the new crossover will have a lot of fans.

The creators of the new transmission also said that the Chery Hybrid DHT will be able to boast nine operating modes at once, among which it is worth noting single-engine and twin-engine, direct drive, energy recovery and, best of all, charging while driving. At the same time, the driver does not have to think about which mode to choose – the control system of the new car will independently determine the optimal working gear so that the car can efficiently use its resources.

Most likely, Chery Tiggo 8 Plus (Pro) PHEV on a new transmission will arrive in Russia in the first half of 2022.
