The AUTOSTAT agency shared interesting statistics on the Russian car market and the share of Chinese automakers in it.

As of January 1, 2022, there are 795,000 Chinese brand cars in Russia, which is 1.7% of the total number of registered passenger cars.
Chery models turned out to be the most popular – the brand accounts for 221,000 registered cars. This makes up more than a quarter (28%) of the “Chinese” in Russia. The second and third places are occupied by Lifan and Geely with 154 and 152 thousand vehicles, respectively. The top five is closed by Great Wall with 119 thousand and Haval with 70 thousand cars. The remaining Chinese brands occupy only 10%.
As for models, Chery Tiggo became the most popular (the exact model is not specified) – there are now 57,000 such cars on Russian roads. The second place is occupied by Lifan X60 with 54 thousand, the third is Great Wall Hover H3 with 52 thousand, followed by Lifan Solano (51.5 thousand) and Great Wall Hover H5 (35.5 thousand).
Note that in 2021, two Chery models at once became the best-selling Chinese cars in Russia.
