Chery, one of the most popular Chinese brands in the Russian car market, will bring its new crossover to the country. This is an all-wheel drive seven-seater model Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max, the official premiere of which in Russia is scheduled for next Friday, April 22.
Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max is externally and internally as similar as possible to the front-wheel drive modification. Of the notable differences, one can only distinguish a chrome trim around the radiator grill, new rear optics, an exhaust system with two pipes and an AWD badge on the trunk lid.
The new Chery all-wheel drive crossover is powered by a turbocharged 2-liter TGDI gasoline engine with a capacity of 197 horses, paired with a 7-speed preselective DCT robotic gearbox. From zero to a hundred, the new car accelerates in 8.5 seconds, and the maximum speed it can reach is 195 km/h. At the same time, the consumption per 100 km for Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max is 7.3 liters in the suburban mode, and in the city it “eats” 10.4 liters per hundred.

BorgWarner’s intelligent plug-in all-wheel drive system with an electromagnetic multi-plate clutch deserves special attention. The crossover has six different driving modes depending on the situation and road surface.
The cost and timing of the start of sales of Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max in Russia will be announced at the upcoming presentation.
