The top ten best-selling Chinese cars in March this year and the first quarter saw more changes due to the current situation of rising prices and falling sales.
As we have already reported, even Chinese brands have suffered because of the situation, which, compared to other brands, have always been the best in terms of sales dynamics. In March, 4669 Chinese cars were sold, which is 42.9% less than a year ago. The last time so few Chinese cars were sold was in January 2021 – 4,616 units.

Chery failed the hardest, selling only 498 cars, compared with 2,398 a year earlier. Last year’s best-selling Chinese model, the Tiggo 7 Pro, fell to eighth place with 208 cars, while the Tiggo 8 Pro was only 15th.
Haval Jolion topped the chart in March this year with 662 cars, followed by three Geely cars (Tugella, Coolray and Atlas Pro). The trio from Haval was next, with the H9 SUV entering the top 10 for the first time this year, despite the fact that it became the most expensive Chinese car in Russia.

They also note the successful debut of the Exeed LX compact crossover, which was released on March 17 and managed to get into the top ten, although sales amounted to only 168 cars.
If we evaluate the situation in the first quarter, then Haval Jolion has gone ahead of its competitors, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro and Haval F7. And Geely Coolray moved up one line, displacing Chery Tiggo 8 Pro from fourth place. Geely Atlas Pro showed good dynamics, rising to 6th place.
