Allianz Parque, a stadium located in the west zone of São Paulo, will host the festival that will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Chic Show ball, this Saturday (13). Lauryn Hill leads the line of confirmed attractions in the line up, which also includes Wyclef Jean, Mano Brown and Criolo.

The event marks the anniversary of the traditional São Paulo ball and showcases the legacy of the festival that was one of the main points of diffusion of black music in São Paulo. The stage where the festival will be held was chosen strategically, since the Chic Show ball was held at the headquarters of Palmeiras, the club that owns the stadium.

In its heyday, Chic Show even hosted James Brown, an American funk and soul singer with hits like “I Got You”.

Lauryn Hill invites former Fugees bandmate and his son

Lauryn Hill will receive Wyclef Jean It is YG Marley as guests on his show at Chic Show . Although “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” is her only solo studio album, the singer also released two albums with The Fugees, a group she was part of before pursuing a solo career.

Do you still have tickets for the Chic Show?

Tickets for the celebration are still on sale at Tickets On website and at the physical ticket offices of the Palmeiras stadium. The tickets for the track are sold out but it is still possible to buy the other sectors for prices ranging from R$200 (solidarity entry for the upper seat) to R$ 680 (entire premium track).

There is also a partnership between Chic Show and the São Paulo Metro, which, in celebration of its 50th anniversary, has opened a physical ticket office at the São Bento station that sells discounted tickets for the festival. Those who go to the venue, which is located in the center of the city, can buy tickets for the lower seats for R$150.
