Chicago PMI for May reaches its highest level since 1973 at 75.2

The Chicago PMI Purchasing Managers Index has risen more than three points in May, rising to 75.2 from 72.1 in April, also improving the 68 points estimated by the market.

This is the third month of improvement for the indicator, which also obtained its best result since November 1973.

According to ISM, which publishes the Chicago PMI, demand gave a boost to business activity, but supply chain constraints persist.
