A child aged 1 year and 8 months died, this Tuesday morning (1), in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, in western Bahia, after being run over by a truck driven by his own father, who was reversing.
The victim, identified as Theo Oliveira Passos, was rescued and taken to an Emergency Care Unit (UPA), where, despite attempts at resuscitation, he did not resist and died minutes later.
According to the Civil Police of the State of Bahia, the Luís Eduardo Magalhães Territorial Police Station is investigating the circumstances of the accident, which was believed to be accidental.
So far, the case is treated as manslaughter, when there is no intention to kill.
Theo’s body was sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) of Barreiras for examination, and the burial is scheduled for this Wednesday (2), in Luís Eduardo Magalhães
