Members of a wide network of child sexual abuse are targets of a mega police operation launched in 20 states and the Federal District this Thursday morning (31).
Agents carried out 94 search and seizure warrants and one preventive arrest warrant in the federative units during “Operation Big Bad Wolf”.
According to investigations, the criminal network is responsible for producing, storing and sharing material that constitutes sexual abuse of minors.
This morning’s action is the result of an investigation conducted by the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco) of São José do Rio Preto and the Civil Police of the state of São Paulo.
For the investigation, a task force was established by the Homeland Security Investigations and the United States Embassy focused on combating child sexual exploitation on the internet.
The content in question is classified as CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material).
To date, delectronic devices and other equipment used for the production and storage of content were seized. All material will be examined and analyzed to assist in investigations.
