The 10-year-old girl shot by her father, military policeman Samir Carvalho, was discharged on Tuesday (13). The young woman was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Santa Casa de Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, since last Wednesday (7), when the case happened.
According to the Secretariat of Public Security, at the time, the police found the victims locked in an office and a military police off the outside. In the police report, it was found that the man showed agents that he was not armed, but then that the door was opened, he threw his wife and daughter, being arrested in the sequence.
The victims were Amanda Fernandes and her daughter. When the occurrence was recorded, the security agencies presented different versions for the case.
Remember the case
As soon as the occurrence was registered, the Military Police issued a note stating that it was called around 1 pm to meet the case of domestic violence in a medical clinic. At the scene, it was informed that the wife and daughter had locked in a room with the doctor because a man, who was the husband of the woman and military police, broke into the place to threaten.
Still according to this version, with the arrival of the teams, the doctor opened the door of the room where he was with Amanda and her daughter, when the policeman would have caught a firearm that was in another room of the clinic and made several shots.
The sergeant would still have a knife and given about ten stab wounds in Amanda, who died at the scene. The daughter, shot, was rescued and taken to Santa Casa de Santos.
Already in the presented version of the police station, which appears in the report of the case, witnesses reported that Amanda Fernandes and her daughter were at the medical clinic of dermatology, both appearing calm behavior.
Minutes later, the sergeant, who nodded as his husband, entered the establishment and stood at the reception with them. After a while, Amanda went to the receptionist and discreetly asked her to call the police, claiming to be threatened.
Following, the wife and daughter sought shelter in the dermatologist’s room, owner of the clinic, reporting that her husband was armed and threatened to kill her. The doctor then locked the room of the room, put chairs to obstruct it and tried to trigger the police while waiting for help.
The police arrived at the scene and, according to the registration, made sure that the perpetrator did not carry any weapons because he “would have raised the blouse he wore” and “had calm temperament.” The police then asked him to move away from the door so that the doctor could open it.
At this point, however, as soon as the door was opened, the policeman struck a firearm sequence. The PMs then entered the room and arrested the author, who surrendered without resistance.
The version presented in the newsletter cites nothing about the stab wounds.
In the third version of the case, the Public Security Bureau (SSP) said that when the police arrived at the scene, they already found the lifeless woman and her daughter injured by firearm shots. “The young woman was rescued to a health unit. The man was sent to the Women’s Defense Police Station (DDM) of Santos,” the note adds.
Subsequently, the SSP turned back and stated that the police were called via Copom to meet a disintelligence occurrence on site. When the victims arrived were locked in an office and the perpetrator, a military police officer outside. According to the information provided in the police report, after the policeman showed that he was not armed, the door was opened. The author entered and shot his wife and daughter, being arrested following and sent to military prison Romão Gomes.
The SSP reported that the Military Police established a military police inquiry to strictly investigate the conduct of agents triggered to meet the occurrence . “The case was registered as domestic violence, femicide and attempted murder in the city’s DDM. The Civil Police set up an investigation and investigates all circumstances of the crime,” the note adds.
