Coronavac for children

Anvisa will hold a meeting with medical entities to address the use of Coronavac vaccine in children. Last week, the Agency authorized Pfizer’s vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 years. In the case of Coronavac, Anvisa in August denied a request for use in people aged 3 to 17 years.

A new study by Fiocruz points to the immunization of children against Covid-19 as an important strategy to increase the protection of the Brazilian population against the disease.
