A 6-year-old boy who was in a wheelchair and visually impaired died after a fire hit a community around the Amerindia viaduct, in Itapevi, in Greater São Paulo. Three houses were consumed by fire. The incident took place on Wednesday morning (13).
At around 8:25 am, after fighting the flames, firefighters found the boy’s body.
In a statement, the city of Itapevi reported that the burned area was an invaded area that belonged to the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM).
The causes of the fire will be investigated by the Civil Police.
