Chilling live on Facebook uploaded by a worker shortly before he was burned by a fire that broke out at his work

They watched with bated breath a video he streamed live through Facebook a worker who was calling for help when he was trapped in a building he caught fire in North Carolina. Unfortunately the man didn’t make it.

The video shows 30-year-old Demonte Tyree Sherrill to shout “help, help” while the flames were menacingly close to him and the smoke was suffocating him.

Despite the fact that the firefighters arrived at the scene in time, both the 30-year-old worker and his colleague eventually lost their lives as it was impossible to reach them rescuers. “I was hoping as I watched the video but from the way it was filled with smoke I didn’t see any good progress in the room” said the mother of the deceased worker.

“I’m at work. The building is on fire and I can’t get out. It’s getting harder and harder to see ahead,” says the 30-year-old. “The building is on fire and I and my colleague are trapped,” he added. It was only the 30-year-old’s third day on the job installing windows in the newly constructed building when the fire broke out on the fourth floor of the building.

In total, firefighters managed to free 15 workers in the building while another 100 got out on their own.
