Bloomberg News, citing estimates from China’s top government health agency, reported that nearly 37 million people in China they may have been infected with COVID-19 in just one day this week.

About 248 million people, or nearly 18 percent of the population, may have contracted the virus in the first 20 days of December, Bloomberg reported, citing minutes from an internal meeting of China’s National Health Commission held on Wednesday.

According to testimonies gathered by AFP, crematoria are pressed, however the increase in deaths is not officially linked to COVID-19. “It is possible that new variations will be created, and these variations in turn will spread and affect us, or other countries,” the head of American diplomacy, Anthony Blinken, said with concern yesterday.
