China develops hypersonic passenger aircraft

China wants to create its own hypersonic passenger aircraft. By 2035, China plans to create a whole fleet of such aircraft, but these will be fairly compact aircraft designed for a maximum of 10 passengers. But by 2045, airliners capable of carrying 100 people should appear.

Apparently, it is for the larger model that the source specifies the dimensions: more than 45 meters in length, which is more than that of the Boeing 737 Max 10. In the schematic images of the project, the plane looks more like a space shuttle, although the same Concorde also had a similar wing design.

It is worth noting that we are not talking about supersonic aircraft, but about hypersonic ones, that is, those capable of reaching speeds in excess of Mach 5. In this case, we are talking about a speed of Mach 6, which at sea level corresponds to about 7,500 km / h.

The source also mentions the possibility of delivering people and cargo to orbital and lunar stations, but it is not clear what exactly we are talking about, because it is unlikely that the same aircraft will be used for both passenger flights in the atmosphere and for space flights.
