China has today decided to impose customs duties on European brandy in the context of Anti -abing research that began Beijing in January, however, excluding major brandy producers such as Pernod Ricard, LVMH and Remy Cointreau from high duties, a rare light spot in a time. China will impose up to 34.9% for five years on the European Union Brandy, most of which will be brandy from France, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said in a final decision. However, most of the French brandy industry, including large trademarks Hennessy and Remy Martin, owned by LVMH, will be excluded from duties, provided they sell at a minimum price, the ministry said in a statement.
