China is open to conversations if Trump shows respect – Bloomberg

Citing a person familiar with the thought of the Chinese government, Bloomberg reported Wednesday that China is willing to sit at the table with the USA. However, Beijing has some previous conditions for commercial negotiations.

Key details

China wants the administration of US President Donald Trump to show more respect when stopping the derogatory comments of the members of his cabinet.

China wishes a more consistent position of the United States and a willingness to address China’s concerns about US and Taiwan sanctions.

Beijing also wants the US to designate a contact person for conversations that has the president’s support and that can help prepare an agreement that Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping can sign when they meet.
